Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect VoiceScribe to ChatGPT?

Select Connect ChatGPT to open the VoiceScribe app listing in ChatGPT. Add the app, sign in to your VoiceScribe account, and authorize access. Then select VoiceScribe in your ChatGPT conversation and ask about a saved transcript.

Do I need to upload my recordings to ChatGPT?

No. Transcribe your audio or video in VoiceScribe first. Once connected, ChatGPT can retrieve your saved transcript text through the VoiceScribe app, without uploading the recording again.

Which transcripts can ChatGPT use?

The connection uses transcripts saved to the VoiceScribe account you authorize. Save your latest edits before asking ChatGPT about them. If a transcript is not available yet, finish transcription in VoiceScribe first.

Can ChatGPT edit or delete my VoiceScribe transcripts?

The VoiceScribe connection provides read-only access to your saved transcripts and related information. ChatGPT can draft a summary or follow-up in the conversation; it cannot edit or delete your VoiceScribe library through this connection.

What is the VoiceScribe MCP integration?

MCP, or Model Context Protocol, lets ChatGPT use tools to find and read your VoiceScribe transcripts with your authorization. You can disconnect VoiceScribe in your ChatGPT app settings when you no longer want to use it.

What if I cannot find VoiceScribe in ChatGPT?
